Kim Walker CRM5, MAR, CNHC
Professional Clinical Reflexologist

Kim's career path which, during former times, included 12 years as proprietor of her own driving school, has been greatly diverse. Throughout this time however, she's maintained a keen interest in the study of human anatomy and physiology and, in the year 2000, she undertook a Health & Social Studies Pathway Psychology course. Later, she became interested in the effects of diet on health, and gained a Diploma in Diet and Nutrition during 2008. It therefore seemed perfectly logical several years later, to channel her energies into learning a new skill with which she could aim to help individuals realise the potential for maximising their own healthcare needs, especially in today's highly demanding society with ever increasing levels of stress regularly faced by many.

Kim studied at Jubilee College, regarded as "the most progressive Reflexology training school in the UK", undertaking the highest level course in Reflexology and successfully achieving a Centralia Reflexology Mastership (incorporating Agored Cymru units at Level 5) plus Anatomy, Physiology & Pathology.
David Wayte, Principal of the College, was the first Reflexologist to be made a member of The Royal Society of Medicine. Kim's tutor, who held pure lineage in Reflexology, was herself trained by Dwight Byers the nephew of Eunice Ingham, considered by many as the pioneer of Reflexology recognised today.

As a member of the Association of Reflexologists and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council, Kim ensures she keeps up to date with all the latest information and developments in her profession, whilst continuing to fulfil her obligations for continuing best practice and personal development. She maintains a highly professional and informal approach, guarantees confidentiality at all times and strives to offer each client, irrespective of age or gender, the most appropriate and effective treatment plan possible.

Reflexology for Wigan and Bolton

The recent pandemic has prompted a re-assessment of treatment delivery; Kim has made the decision to withdraw the option of mobile treatments and intends to work entirely from her home base for the forseeable future. All appointments will be booked at her treatment room which is conveniently accessible for clients travelling from both Wigan and Bolton areas. Here, she endeavours to create an ambience which encourages her clients to relax in calm, stress-free and comfortable surroundings, where they can leave the distractions and interruptions of home and everyday life behind, enhancing the full experience of reflexology therapy.

Covid 19 Action Plan

  • Due to the recent Coronavirus pandemic, all mobile Reflexology therapy has been suspended for the foreseeable future
  • Although Kim's home-base Reflexology treatments have resumed (but may be subject to the outcome of further local 'lock down' restrictions), the availability of appointments will be restricted in number
  • KW Reflexology is registered with the NHS track and trace system for those clients who have downloaded the app
  • Safe practice: health risk assessments, use of PPE equipment, enhanced cleaning, hygiene and sanitising measures are in place to meet Government guidelines, relevant Authorities and Association recommendations
